Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Employee Survey

I always wonder if they are lying about some of the results. How can so many people be happy to work at WF, and feel that it’s a good place to work?

Cuzz we all lied on the survey because we know they can track the response back to us

My entry to WFC was being told I was on an employee improvement committee to address the survey results. An hour every other week and literally nothing got done and nothing was accomplished but we reported our work every month. Busy work to pretend we were doing something.

They aren’t happy. Remember how the account scandal culprits basically parachuted out of here while we are enduring layoffs? It’s the same thing. It always comes back on the peons.

@ag+1jy1gaf7e my team does this also. We know that if our scores are low we will be subjected to endless useless meetings and directed to create “action plans” to fix the problems. Literally hours upon hours of pointless busywork. So the goal is to avoid that.

I’m told i have to fill it out. If i fill it out negatively then i know my team will have to have a bunch of meetings on why we feel certain ways. These are enormous wastes of time that only delay the work i am told i have to accomplish. So i mark good scores so i do not have to deal with any add’l bullship and can accomplish my tasks.

People know the survey is not confidential and say whatever they think their manager wants to hear. They know that if they submit a low rating their manager will come looking for them. It’s all just self preservation.

I loath this survey. It’s often difficult to distinguish where the employees’ angst is directed to due to vagueness in many questions.

Results are nearly universally interpreted as a reflection of their direct manager however many times that is not the case, nor do the questions all relate to their direct manager.

Got other leaders that your employees have to interact with that are miserable to be around? Frequently forced to roll out ridiculous policies or processes? Share work efforts with teams from other sites that stink at their jobs? You may take hit for these things on the survey even though they are not within your control.

we are a very large company and probably plenty of people that have a good manager, come in each day to do their work, then head home not thinking about WF until the next day. If you live in this site then chances are you live in a little bubble of hate towards WF and no matter what will have a negative view. It's possible for two things to be true at the same time, one person loves WF and another hates it. For everyone in the middle your mileage may vary.
