Anyone know what happens if you resign mid year to the $$ being withheld for purchased days?

Yep. I had accrued, unused days & they said I couldn’t take them.

@cj you most certainly do get reimbursed for unused purchases days. It’s accrued and unused vacation days that you lose out on. The purchased/unused always gets reimbursed since you’ve paid out of pocket for them but didn’t take them.
@ah we’ve only ever had 3 floating holidays. Been here 20 years and it’s never changed.

That is wrong and disinformation by you. I got my unused purchased days refunded after being severed.
Purchased vacation not used you will get back. Similar to 401k contributions, your money is always yours. Accrued/earned vacation not used is only paid out in US states that require it by law.
Manager here - lots of people saying incorrectly that you get reimbursed unused purchased days. You can go into the People Solutions site and search for employee off boarding. You do not get reimbursed for your unused purchased days. As another commenter said, use it or lose it. Management should let you use them towards your notice period, but it’s discretionary.
I can you they are sc--wing people out of accrued but unused vacation days… I know multiple people that had quite a bit of vacation time accrued and since you no longer get paid out for it they wanted to use those days during their notice period & were told they could not…..
Purchased vacation is such a crock. Remember a few years ago when we had a bunch of floating holidays? Now we only get three.
They get refunded to you since you paid for them.
They get refunded to you minus taxes.
They are refunded to you less taxes and normal deductions.
