Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Any recent promotions?

Just wondering if anyone has had a recent promotion and what your raise was? A lot of conflicting information on here and from co workers. The recruiter said “it’s a promotion, you’ll probably get a raise.” But what percent?

So the question: have you been promoted recently and what percentage did you get?

I have gone through of the interviews, I think I’ll get it, just wondering what other people have gotten if I need to counter offer the offer if I get it.

Couldn’t have said it better. We’re supposed to smile through 1.5% raises while execs treat this place like their personal ATM and social club. Promotions are extinct. Recognition is a joke. And we get HR sermons about “total compensation” like we’re too d-mb to notice the blatant wealth siphoning going on above our heads.

Meanwhile, these overpaid tourists parachute in from JPM and immediately start LARPing as experts. Fake credentials, fake confidence, real damage. They hire their clueless friends to do nothing and offload the actual work onto the people they’re quietly trying to push out. It’s a full-on corporate cosplay.

And don’t even get me started on the leadership “retreats” — Cabo, wine tours, luxury hotels, all billed as “strategy sessions” while the rest of us ration PTO and get ghosted on internal transfers. It’s offensive how open the corruption is. No shame, no accountability, just empty suits congratulating each other while the place burns.

If this isn’t late-stage corporate rot, I don’t know what is. Keep calling it out — people need to see how deep the dysfunction runs.

If you've been status quo for 8 years, it's now on you to make a move.

Haven't seen a promotion in 8 years our unethical leadership and worthless shady HR partners push down pennies year over year and claim that the philosophy of pay is to focus on total compensation with a miserable 1.5 % increase in total compensation. What a joke and in the meantime you see all of the executives bonuses continue to increase including the ludicrous operating expenses for them traveling like a 80s hairband with their entourage groupie sycophants partying drinking till late into the morning. The money gets hoarded by them and used to bring on and hire their buddies from JPMC who are completely worthless and have to then turnaround and hire a team of people to do the work that they lied about having experience with on their resumes. It's disgusting 🫣 and don't get me started on our CHRO they are among the grimiest shady people you could ever meet and you can understand why once you speak with them there is really nothing upstairs in any kind of form of value added intelligence just an empty suit.

if this is an internal move to a higher level position, there are no increases at the time of the hire. this has been the policy since about a year ago. Raises are handled at yearend.

How much you get for the "promotion" depends on where you are in the salary band for your new position. Keep in mind that salary bands overlap with each other about 80%.

Depends on many variables but seems like 7-9% is common
