Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Your voice echoes loudly - What they really said

Hans was critical of V Teamers for continuing to be transparent and ask critically important questions on thelayoff.com. Several questions we raised during our 3Q Earnings Q&A session were sugar coated during the non-Leadership Forum and sparked the usual excuses.

Sam was equally appalled of the V Team for speaking up and being suspicious that we’re doing something with the feedback.

More than 105,000 V Teamers responded to our recent Q4 VZPulse survey – that’s an 87% response rate, our second highest to date. There is a negative undertone across the board – employees mistrust of the process that shows overall satisfaction in the face of layoffs and the toxic work culture.

Sam was shocked that V Teamers feel Verizon is not caring for their well-being, and that V Teamers are commiserating with each other after another layoff to pay for the executive team's failings.

Did Sam Hammock put a stop to the original plan to have everyone in office 3 days a week? Did “moments that matter” come from her?

I ask this because we were on a VP level call when the 3 day in office arrangement was announced, but it never got enacted.

It confirmed I existed in a relatively conservative org when I noticed that not a single person in Mike Bickel’s org was home-based. They were all merely “hybrid”.

I imagine it had to come from up above his (SVP) level to undermine such strong sentiment to bring everyone back in office. The only level between him and Hans was Tami and (indirectly) Sam.

The arrogant IT Executive Management have skirted the (PII) Personally identifiable information rules with the Verizon India and Infosys offshore teams. I don't think the Feds and the EU would agree with Shanks IT managements interpretation of the rules.

Your voice means less than jack to these peeps Jack!

Samantha right now could care less about you as everyone is running for covet and to cover up the ESG, woke craziness of the past few years.

Soon Verizon execs from Corp, HR and Media will be answering questions about information abuse; forced injections and abuse of H1B regs.

When they got arrogant they got sloppy and left receipts from Basking Ridge to Bangalore.

They’d be wasting an opportunity if they didnt use the survey to target people and figure out what the people want who they want to leave and then not do that. They certainly won’t be using it to keep people they want.

Nah, smores and a rif letter is what Sam is going to give out. Leadership is so tone deaf and have no clue. They made horrible decisions and the employees pay for their stupidity. Same sh*t and rifs follow. Reshuffling the deck doesn't get rid of horrible leaders, it gets rid of hard working people at the bottom.

Sam Hammock is clueless. It is so transparent she has no idea what she is doing. A benefits/compensation survey was sent to select VTeamers. Why not send it to all VTeamers? Oh because the truth will come out and make her look even more like a d-mba$$.
