I like how they were downsizing people on 2024 because they "couldn't" be in WEC, when it's going to be open until 2026. FHY.

WEC will be open for employees to work there until May 2026. Today, 6/24, about 25% of the employees (Tech and Business roles) that work there will be leaving. That will leave 300+ that will be there until further notice. Most if not all of those that remain have not been given any information of when they will be affected. Assume the wave in the fall will offer some clarity.

The people still at WEC aren't being given a timeline. It's psychological torture.

It's "news" because hundreds of people are still assigned there. We'll stop talking about it after it's closed and the good people of the WEC fade into a distant memory.

lol, the people running this place can't do anything right. They walk face first into epic fails time and time again. A magic 8 ball would be a better executive than the JPM rejects clowns we have now.

Plenty of tech people at WEC still haven't heard anything.

I think the email this AM about employee appreciation is the cherry on top. They did the same thing last year - big layoffs while telling the rest of you how much the Bank loves you.

I heard that Tech at WEC were told last week, so that it was NOT done during Employee Appreciation week... what a great way to hide it...

It’s like mass massacre during employee appreciation week. Most of the good, experienced WEC employees are being let go and on another end they are hiring or atleast having fake job postings. There had been lots of fake job postings going on for more than a year atleast and that is a different matter of concern. When they are done with all this what would be left of Wells Fargo. Reminds me of the scene of hyenas ruling Lion Kingdom with Scar.

I don’t see any WARN notice yet for Winston Salem. Are things done legally? Seems sneaky with all the silent unannounced cuts.

They did it last year also. Forget the exact number, but it was 600-800 people IIRC. They definitely felt appreciated.

Only the id--ts leading WFC could hold "employee appreciation" week amid a blood-letting of technology and elsewhere. Absolutely incredible. It's become a troll job at this point.
