Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Can they please just stop already with Employee Appreciation Week?

It’s getting ridiculous.

Thanks for the glyphosate-laden synthetic dye donuts.

Nothing says thanks for your long hours and weekend calls quite as much as a donut. This is why I do what I do! 🍩

During Employee Appreciation Week, the WIM team invited all JPMG colleagues for donuts and pizza party. This raises questions about the intent behind the gesture. While it may appear to be a goodwill event, the optics suggest a possible recruitment effort, blurring the lines between appreciation and talent acquisition. If this is the case, it gives the impression that instead of celebrating our employees, we may be inadvertently signaling a shift—possibly replacing rather than appreciating them.

WF has the most evil timing - last year, the week the TLT did their "rah rah" ridiculous roadshow on-site, they let people go. I think they were having a town hall at the very same time they were laying people off. They're monsters.

It's not Employee Appreciation Week. It's Please Don't Do Anything Stupid to the Company week.

@cg There are people who have had distinguished 30+ year careers with this bank who are being thrown on the trash heap like garbage. No retirement parties. No acknowledgements. Just told to turn their sh*t in and leave. One of the worst companies on planet earth. Evil people.

And they run out of donuts by like 8:45 anyway.

We work for a bunch of stupid tone deaf people. You work over 40 years for a company who gives free doughnut holes on Monday and lets you go on a Tuesday. These people are neither sane or rational.

If they are going to do this cr-p, they should do it in January, when the layoff numbers are at least low. Like everything else it seems to be designed to demoralize. Hot tip for HY: if you want to appreciate, do it at merit and stop downsizing people and lying about why it's happening.

They really do need to stop with the employee appreciation events. Who thinks it’s a good idea? Thanks for the slice of pizza while I worry every day if I’m going to have a job tomorrow.

@a7 I’m in my 60 day and received a heartfelt thank you tumbler. Hubby saw it and said are you kidding me?! I said nope normal behavior in this place now. They are thankful my backside is out the door. Can’t make this stuff up.

For those on a 60 day at the moment, don't be shy about telling the world how Employee Appreciation message feels! I mean, you're frickin being fired, and in the other ear they are telling you that you are appreciated!! How insane is that!
