I work at the phone site and I moved 2 hours away from the office when covid hit. I’m worried about having to go in to the office everyday instead of being able to WFH. Any chance there are layoffs coming or I can choose to be laid off instead of coming into the office? This place is a cult and most people are actually very miserable deep down…. I’d rather stop working here then go into those cubes everyday.

Cult? please. it may not be for you.
I don't mind older white males, but can we please get rid of the aged Karens?
which is now older, white males...the true minority
OP You cannot volunteer to be laid off. I know people who have tried but they were told No. When there is a RIF it all goes thru HR to make sure no minority groups are over targeted so they don't get sued.
No many nasty older people on here

Yes true I’ve heard that from many reliable sources and an announcement comes out tomorrow supposedly
Just heard that come January, Dynamic Working will still be 1 week per month BUT the new requirement will be 5 days for that week and not 3 days as it is now.
Who said anything about everyday? Haven’t you had to do 3 days a month of dynamic working for 2 months so far? Looks like it will be the department’s minimum (3 days of 1) week a month at least through end of March so far. If you are at a big regional site, try to get another job. The phones is a tough job.
Yeah, it’s called quitting. If you hate it, leave.
Sounds like you have some separation issues.
Just go for it. On the road.
