After 17 long years, I was finally laid off. It's bittersweet. On the one hand, no one wants to join the unemployment line. On the other, it's a huge weight off my shoulders to not have to dread coming to the toxic hellhole day in and day out.
Still, it's hard not to feel betrayed after nearly ki-ling myself working on fixing problems I wasn't even really responsible for creating in the first place; only to be tossed out like I'm nothing. Year after year of meets or exceeds didn't matter, they wanted to replace me with less qualified people in India.
To the c-suite: Eventually WF will crumble under the weight of your greed and no one will feel sorry for you when it does.
