Ageism is a big problem in this company. Think about the current issues you are faced with in your job and how you are treated and then think about your age and you can see the correlation.

@3mgf+1jyrxCrq, this is NOT a happy post but a trigger post! Happy, fulfilled and career satisfied individuals do not come to a misery camp to taunt and show off to others. That alone is a sign that OP needs help!

@OP, I’m really glad that you’re doing well, but there is no need to insult other people who are not in the same position as you by calling them names. Also, I was just wandering, if everything is fine, how on Earth did you stumble upon a layoff forum page?

1 positive post and 9 a$sh0l3 replies. Typical BAC, one person is happy, yet 9 others destroying a co-worker. You should feel special.

The person that started this topic is probably some overpaid ,average or below average kiss azz. I know you probably love it here at this shlithole bank because you wouldn't get this at any other bank that has high standards.

I wish I could say the same. I'm underpaid, haven't had a title promotion in over 10 years and the people on my team who sit idle and never speak up get all the perks, promotions etc. Perhaps the 3 days in office is a perk for you?? Not to me. I had a more liberal WFH pre covid. Now we all have to show our face 3x's a week despite the fact that 90% of my team, manager included, aren't even in the same office. SMH the people spoke and we listened. NO YOU DIDN'T.

You gathered around with executives and said we have to do something due to attrition. I know, give free lunches and let them have 2 days a week at home. Once attrition is over we will tell them they need to come back in.

Using an apostrphe + s to make a plural means you do fit right in with those in charge. Congratulations on your position.

Don't kid yourself - Top performers aren't immune to layoffs. In fact, they are oftentimes targeted because they tend to be the highest earners on a team. The bank is notorious for getting rid of top earners and replacing them with younger workers at reduced pay. Managers are also intimidated by top performers. (Competence is always a hazard to an incompetent manager.) Here's a hint to stay off the radar: Run in the middle of the pack, and don't make waves. It also helps to have a godfather.

Then why are you even on this layoff website if you are doing so well and full of being treated fantastically? :D
