Exxon's bleeding talent, and the rest of us are swamped. The leadership acts oblivious while we’re stretched thin. Wish I could leave, but sadly, jobs are scarce right now, and that's putting it mildly. "Be grateful you have a job" doesn’t help when you’re burning out.

@az Sounds just like Solar Turbines.
How much of the work you are doing is actually productive for the business and not feeding PowerPoints to management.
And not informed that your job is moving to India
@d8 no I just keep it real. You sound like a useless manager
@d0 wow you are quite a tool!
Yep, got technical people that actually know things working on multiple teams and meanwhile I have a manager who blocks off their calendar at least 3-4 times a week for kid activities and a project manager who just “follows the AI summary” in weekly meetings. Big fun these days
Exxon has too many middle managers and executives. And too many deadweight.
It’s especially bad for experienced hires because they bear the brunt of the workload. Overtime it leads to burnout, PIP, and mental health issues. Don’t let them bully and dump work on you. Draw your boundaries.
Add in poor local leadership it’s cr-p. Uncon is a bipolar robot that doesn’t know it doesn’t have a body.
I’ve been asking for priorities. I’m having to focus hard on work life balance. The company makes a lot of money. They can hire more people.
You guys got raises?
@OP sorry to hear that
Don’t worry you will get a 2% raise in January
