Verizon will be acquired by one of the OTs that has the knowledge/technology and the applications to utilize the "America most reliable network" to its full potential. The folks in charge now have no clue on what to do with it. They're entertainers
After Verizon's gutting was concluded in 2023, Verizon will have been acquired by a company that knows what they are doing. Their proprietary millimeter wave technology will be in hot demand for autonomous vehicles, medical, security and other IoT and industrial purposes but not so much for consumer telecommunications.

Next new company to utilize quantum communication with all its security will take over. Can you imagine the cost having to retool the verizon network for quantum use?
Likely having finally acknowledged the 5yee boondoggle. There will be a new management team tasked with a turnaround. Those that survived Hans final round of 2023 cuts are miserable and being pressed for 55+ hours a week of work. The Indian offshoring has been deemed a failure and the painful process of standing up a fully staffed US based development team means the digital transformation is still 5 years away. VZ 3.0 is announced.

As a result regulated utility because it's non American market focused board and executives have proven over 40 years that they cannot be trusted to ever make the right decisions. Sad but true. People need to communicate but no longer can rely on Verizon to do so.
