Anyone On Here Take The SPS Voluntary RIF?

Just wondering if there were any additional incentives given for volunteering?

Were other divisions requested to do this as well? Or is it just us?

Letting sales go is always an indication the new products are lagging. Since we cut all the talented designers, we don’t have any new products to push. No need for sales… Self sacrifice. It’s all part of the master plan.

The thing that I find most shocking, is that they are letting sales people volunteer. Does not look good for SPS future if we don't have sales people.

@2elj If you are thinking about leaving or retiring anyway the incentive is that you get the same severance package as folks who are selected by the company. So you get a parting gift. Or you could just quit and get nothing.

@2elj
Getting paid to quit? Maybe you don't understand that the desires of many Honeywell employees is the GTHO. And to be paid to do so is a bonus. Seems to be the only way to get a bonus with this company. Unless you are an executive, then all you have to do is lay off a bunch of people.

Seriously, what is the point of a voluntary RIF if there’s no incentive offered? I feel like I’m missing something.

I know at least one that raised their hand and got selected. Evidently, they had to sign a confidentiality agreement and they aren't saying anything, just that they got selected and are leaving soon. If I were them, I wouldn't say anything either. At least until the first severance check hit my account.

Here's to hoping Honeyhell expands the voluntary RIF! My hand would go up so fast that I'd probably throw my shoulder out.

You may be able to negotiate the leave date.

They don't offer incentives to leave because leaving is incentive enough. LOL

No incentives offered, either way the next round of layoffs is coming. I believe it was just SPS.
