@a2 sadly we will not see any real data because there is none supporting their decisions.
Many companies have forced RTO, some that have been remote for YEARS. This push is most likely to do with incentives companies are receiving for bodies on the office but none will ever choose to just be honest about that.

Would be nice if Fid senior management would make this more of an at will situation, then see if it makes sense to maintain the lease expense or not. I would really like to know what an honest survey would show whether people prefer in office or WFH. I do my best to ensure my production is higher when working from home then when in the office. Since Fid wants me in the office then I do what they want and socialize a lot more hence accomplishing less. If Fid prefers casual collisions and less production, then I can do that.
