“ Our youth is more obsessed with sports, gaming, and music whereas children of immigrants are pushed hard to achieve academic success.”

Blame the former on the “usual suspects” & their incessant brainwashing propaganda on American youth. Also, far too many parents are also consumed with bread & circuses.

US employees cannot use company mobile phone and laptop outside the US and yet we outsource to foreign locations. Disastrous security risk assessment policy.

American workers at all levels demand higher wages and are not willing to put in the effort or learn. If look at CS and STEM classes in leading universities, you will notice that at least half of the students are either foreign nationals or of foreign origin. About 80+ percent of Graduate classes and PhD students are foreign origin or foreign. Our youth is more obsessed with sports, gaming, and music whereas children of immigrants are pushed hard to achieve academic success. If you need evidence, look at the top level leadership in tech companies. Or look at the presidential contenders for last election. 3 people of Indian origin were competing for the job - Kamala, Nikki, and Vivek. These people are ambitious. You are fighting to expel Mexicans and Guatemalans who are mostly unskilled with no grasp of basic English language. But in reality they are doing your dirty work which none of you will do. Educated young people on H1B are taking your jobs. I understand the pain. But think harder. Take responsibility for yourself and your career. You cannot place all the blame on some guy on H1. Like is not fair and no one will guarantee you a job or income.

Unfortunately, AT&T isn't the only one doing it. The current administration is apparently considering filling FAA vacancies with foreign workers. That doesn't sound like a security risk, does it?

Biggest concern is cybersecurity part , the requirement on the job posting for a junior cybersecurity is very low compared to the American counterpart . They have job posting but for US based but those are all senior positions

Being in telecom and having government contracts-customers put this nation at risk

India Telephone and Telegraph just needs to fold up shop and go away. The execs in Dallas have destroyed the company.

Mediocre American workers trying to call other workers low quality. More work, less complaining.

The company gets to decide who to hire and where. There are pros and cons for everything. Decisions makers I'm sure are considering all aspects.

Every move you see a company is and will always be about the money. They don’t care about issues because it will be someone else’s problem to deal with.

“ But I don't see foreign work under controlled access any more risky than work from home.”

Then why can’t we take our COU or laptop out of the country? Ever wonder where the data breaches occur and how? Those have been coming from our overseas units. I’m sure the huge fines we are paying offset the costs still, I’m sure they priced that in already. Hand slap do it again.

To h3ll with treasonous “outsourcing” to 3rd rate foreigners. The big corp C suites & DC puppets are traitors to the hilt.

Domestic work under controlled access is the best. But I don't see foreign work under controlled access any more risky than work from home. It would depend on the security measures agreed to for the foreign contractor.
