Internal promotion is based on a % of your existing rate. External, we will hire up to 15% over the midpoint. Yes, midpoint are still a value HR uses.

The midpoint was $158. It was increased 2022. If you are that stupid, you deserve your $137.

@2ssu+1k0PB432, when I took the role, there were still midpoints posted within job families. This was prior to Jan 2022 when job titles and all that changed. The mid point for the role was $158k for Control Officer (nka Lead Control Management Officer) at that time.

If you've been here awhile, you may know that getting offers at the mid-point, especially if that would be more than 20% higher than the salary of your existing role, is about as likely as a monkey flying out of your rear end. My offer was around 80-85% of the 'then' midpoint.

In today's environment, with midpoints no longer being posted and with the 'salary range' on open requisitions for the Lead Control Management Officer being $111,100 - 197,500......I have no idea what folks are being brought in at. But to answer your question, the answer must be no (my manager evidently didn't 'pull for a big raise') as I do not make what you are stating is the unofficial midpoint of $165k.

For the lead control management officer, do you know the unofficial mid-point since that's not a thing anymore is $165? Your manager didn't pull for a big raise to get you near that unofficial mid-point?

Wow I feel pretty bad reading this. Sr. Lead Technology Business Services Consultant / VP, was making $172k (not NY or CA) and reliably hitting 30% and more in bonus with separate stock grants of $18k before last year. 12 years with WF.

I left in the fall for a role that was one step up from there, added almost $100k to base, bonus is paid quarterly for company performance with a separate bonus annually for my performance. I got a sign on I used to pay for half a new car and they paid out my WF 401k match with their own stock grants (RSUs).

I left because I didn’t feel I was paid well but I guess it was for my effort, not what they were paying people in similar roles. Still glad I jumped.

CEO, $2.5 Million base, 880% bonus, 3 YOE with the company.

I do nothing and add zero value, but I'm getting paid very well for it. I did create a new credit card product and some PR disasters, though.
