Required ratings for promotions

Does anyone know what ratings you need to be promoted this year?

At the mid-year review, is it mandatory to get Tracking to Exceed Expectations, or can people still get promoted if they get only On-Track?

Also, how much does it matter if you get exceed or met last year? Or they only interested in this years rating.

The truth is promotion are planned well in advance. If you don't know, then most likely you will not be promoted. My recommendation is to talk to your manager and ask the taught questions especially in 1-on-1. If you're manager doesn't give you a satisfactory answer than the answer is 'no' and it's time to move on.

Ratio 10 / 70 / 20 - no promotion with meets
overall 10 % dismissal of the 20 % (forced)
managers can't change this, you execute or get executed as a threat
managers get laid off after they lay off their teams (clear the evidence)
several locations will be closed in the long run avoiding severance
surveys are to distract and deceive

I was told that you can be Meets for mid-year but need to demonstrate some special new goal or project by YE to be Exceeds and get promoted. Hope that’s true but not sure.
