Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

This is getting ugly

The last 2 months or so I had little interest in this site anymore. It had consumed me even though what everyone was saying was going on was and still is true. Just tonight I have been going through posts and comments and I’ve only seen it become more depressing and dark for myself and the rest of the employees here at this firm. The once “light” in everyone’s voices have become dim, dark and depressing to the point where I’m numb to this bank and everything surrounding it. While I need the paycheck and so does everyone else, I truly hope this company topples around us, forcing us that’re left to find anything. Anything at all would be an upgrade, even becoming a damn Walmart greeter. I’ve made a few posts before this one about mental health and the health of our bodies as we endure this bullsh-t and it’s just not worth our suffering. But with that said, I think suffering is what’s consumed us as a whole to become this dark. Also HR and RV can lick a taint

@1j0 not just the offshore teams, the domestic teams have had any semblance of leadership, tenure, and decorum removed systematically. BK is Lord of the flies and AI is the conch shell

I agree. It seems like all the comments are the same all the time. They have been pretty much that way since dec 2024, with most of the hate going towards the offshore team. I understand the frustration but dont let the job consume you. Dont direct the hate to the offshore team just doing their jobs. In my view, if you still working in this economy, consider yourself lucky as the job market is not easy, especially if you become unemployed.

Heard that the possibility of more site closures is still on the table for this year. Add that to the list.

Sr mgmt nor HR give a sh-t about us. Not when the comments made are “anyone who doesnt want to be here can leave”. That goes to show you that your opinions and mental health don't matter. They want you in so they can also justify meeting up with their office wh--es. Most of us don't collaborate with anyone we work with on anything other than teams so you know thats bs. Stop letting foreigners run this company cause they have mo clue wtf they are doing and dont care about U.S citizens

How does one look for the light and have hope anymore when it’s been made totally clear that you are both unwelcome and unwanted here?
How do you even call this place ‘work’?
A poster here recently said that it is supposed to be the job of RV and HR to make work life less problematic, easier and more efficient. Yet, all they have done is add misery, fear and difficulty. That really is the coda here now. Many of us kept hoping that we woud survive, get to normal and feel happy again. Alas, that is never ever going to happen. So either you put up with this, just play act and go through the motions and treat it for what it is, do not feed it no emotion or soul or….. you pine away in misery until fired or …. You leave anyway you can. RV has ruined this company.
You cannot call this work.

You're basically being run by the team owner from the movie Major League.
