Bargaining Time to spill the beans

So I got the whole blackout thing. But now that negotiations have broken down should we not be aware of what went on.What the points of contention were. What the company was offering along with what the unions stand was.Now there is no excuse absolutely ridiculous that all the unions are being secretive on this .Its out contract our union we need to have some input now that they did their job.Wake up cwa and ibew playing the secret game is not gonna make this any better or less painful

@w9, what are you talking about. When was the last time we got a catch-up raise that topped the cost of living, like the pilots and electric company unions did?

Re: @11s. The union that gets paid to represent us doesn’t say cr-p and only come around at election time or to talk about a golf outing

@OP The union you pay to represent you doesn’t share information with you?

Vz is also cozying up (more!) to the current administration in an attempt to ban telecommunication unions through EO under the guidelines that they could harm military readiness and that unions are overall “bad” for the nation. This extra time will help draft pro-company legislation that will scare the unions into acting outside of their best interests. If you are with a union and you voted for the Republicans you brought this on yourself.

Medical is going to be the big issue. Look at the new retiree options. Take a cue from that.

Remember when we always asked for more benefits than wage increases when we negotiated contracts bc we were so smart? So what happened??

What are you talking about?
Come election time, if there's any opposition, they come to the garages several times under the guise that they're suddenly very concerned for members. Once the election's over, crickets once again.

Who cares about an extension. Let them negotiate a contract again. No constraints like the last time where only 6 items were allowed to be discussed. Now in 2026 everything can be up for discussion. Juneteenth holiday instead of asking for it in the pulse survey we can get in added as a 12th holiday.

Better dental and vision. Pension increase. How about a bump up in the pension bands?? Why do the pension bands go up so high in the contract anyway? And not one job title has a band over a certain number? Who has band 135?? Idk but it’s in the contract. More vacation time. More ewd days. Shorter work week?

Higher lump sum calculations? As it is now they are allows to offer you less on a lump

@e4 I'd love that too. I'll make a fortune while you lose your benefits.

I'd love nothing more than another strike! 2011 and 2016 weren't long enough.... I want more! It was funny watching the IT guys get heckled walking into the garage or the giant rat sitting in Philly

It is unbelievable that the union has not said a word about bargaining. We have ZERO representation from this union. The union just wants your weekly dues. I am not going to listen to what they tell us next August. We are on our own.

@ad I agree with your assessment. This is one troll posting the question and then replying five times with anti union BS to his own post. PATHETIC!

Ya wonder when some one on the eboard of the unions may read this stuff and realize they need to put out some info because a lot of people are starting to get all riled up over the no info thing .Probably not the best way to create unity .No joke every person inside and out is becoming angry now that their is no more blackout there is no more excuse for silence

The fact there has been absolutely zero said by the union is ridiculous. This is like trying to find out about the drones, or the Epstein list. ITS TIME TO SAY. ... WELL, SOMETHING!!!!!!

The union didn’t get sweetheart deal they were looking for so they can get the golden parachute so they could jump and escape the situation and leave all of us on the Titanic to sink while the company is probably watching what UPS and other major corporations are doing when it comes to dealing with unions. It’s pretty clear all they want to do was see what the union was asking for come up with a game plan and start training managers in preparation for the strike
