Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Anniversary during non-working notice...

Layoff question. I am suspecting my layoff soon. With that, my anniversary hits during my 60-day non-working notice. Does anyone know what years of service they will use for my severance?

Also, do you accrue PTO during the non-working notice?

TIA

@1r5 Yea - I do... But in this instance, I haven't been laid off yet, so no documents to read over. But, wow, your insight was suuuuuper valuable. ;)

Does anyone know what years of service they will use for my severance? The anniversary counts as the notice period is still considered employment.

Also, do you accrue PTO during the non-working notice? Yes, it's employment.

I got laid off last Tuesday
Do I get 401k match this year? They probably laid you off on Tuesday yo avoid you working in Q4.

How long my health insurance is valid ? Through severance period, if taking over time .

Can I start a new job during notice period. No you are still technically employed. Taking another job would be considered voluntary resignation and no severance.

Taking lump some vs bi weekly payout of severance- any disadvantages. See above for insurance info. Also tax implications for 2025 vs 2026 taxes.
