Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

The worst thing one can possibly do is relocate

Only to lose the job a couple of months later anyway.

@c1 HR is also working from home and they don't want to come onsite. Speaking of HR why are there so many recruiter and HR in this company? I am not even taking about AD and Directors.. What a mismanagement..

@cp AT&T did it when they called all the MSOC coaches “home” to Dallas. Laid off in less than 3 months. Verizon will be the same.

it happened to a bunch of people I knew who relocated to MD from NJ, used them for their knowledge and burned 'em out to a broken status.

Very true...Just ask the ATT folks who moved to TX.

HR admits they can’t do anything to anyone for not coming in since they made so many exceptions along the way. Work how you want, when you want, where you want.

This happened to a coworker of mine. They took the "promotion" and relocated their family to a new office. When the next round of layoffs came through, of course they were the first to go since they didn't have the clout/trust with the new office team yet.
