Wells Fargo is displacing 194 Winston-Salem employees effective August 23. Also, is displacing 35 more in Des Moines in August. I hope to get the Golden ticket displacement soon. This Tuesday, August 5 (after payday) would be nice. Just saying.

Sound advice. Besides, double dipping is a thing and couple really help, especially if you take a pay cut to work for a company that's worth an S.
do NOT hope to be displaced!! this is the WORST job market i've ever seen in my 50 some years (and tougher, WAY tougher, for us older folks)
if you do get das boot, start looking immediately
it is taking upwards of a year for many, many folks to land anything
good luck to all who get to give up their jobs to the foreigners
I had no idea there were so many tech jobs in Winston Salem after the Fist Union merger
Still leaves 150+ and they ain't all data center types. Good luck WECies.
@cf 275 based on what... are most of them remote cause there are 275 in the office on any day...parking lot is at 40%
As noted those laid off 6/24 —> 8/23 end of notice period.
8/23 is a Saturday.
My management reporting WEC will have non-DC staff into 2026.
I was in the office today. Ghost town. Even the cafeteria has less furniture - not that it mattered - few used it. Was odd to remodel it last year, sign with a food service company - then shut the whole place down.
@a1 and yet, these layoffs have nothing to do with B&M bank sites, but thanks for your contribution.
Still approximately 275 left at WEC with majority in Technology. Next wave in Sept/Oct.
The 194 from WEC are from the June 24th displacement. Aug 23 is when the non-working notice is up.
50+ still hanging around WEC. Plenty are ready to go. Just call us.
@a1
Agreed 💯
