How many managers has it been since you’ve had a good day

I was really trying to remember what it was about this company that I loved working for. Turns out I haven’t had a good day in 3 managers.

The department changes them so fast until you get stuck with the worst of the worst of people skills or leadership potential. My manager just gets in my way then annoys me to the point of taking a personal day due to their nonsense.

3 for me! Great leader with high EQ left our branch (she got BL at another branch) and the hires after her ruined the culture. No one wants to talk to eachother we all whisper in our office. It’s SAD

The issue is the culture has changed from the top down. The majority of middle leaders that are promoted into their role do not have true leadership instincts or skills, they are just following a process mindlessly.

I’m about to quit because of my manager. My spouse and I have come to this decision together, I cannot take the drama this one causes.

  • Manager 1: nice but d-mb. Listed using "telephone skills" as a professional skill on LinkedIN
  • Manager 2: nice and scary smart. Utterly wonderful in all regards.
  • Manager 3: nice, decently smart, a bit workaholic but always gave good reviews. This dude wanted to move up and he was smart enough to know having happy underlings was not a disadvantage but an advantage.
  • Manager 4: hard-working, d-mb, narrow-minded, petty, vengeful, in rare times pleasant that it felt as good as a cold breeze in he-l.
  • Manager 5: nice, but I ended up leaving due to unresolved drama from manager 4.
