Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Asset Cap

This is a couple of months late, but I think it's hilarious how WF employees celebrated the lifting of the asset cap. Seemed almost like bragging about it, like look at us. We're on the move! We got 2k in RSRs! Bo-m! WF is back!

Lol. Um, I'm not so sure that was anything to be bragging about. It's almost like, look at us, we got taken out of time out. Yay! Lots of kool-aid drinkers in the WF cult. I hope the normal ones still there see it for what it is.

Lots of fragile people here

It really was great news. It has opened the door to hiring again

Only people who didn’t like it are the box checkers who have been throwing up meaningless controls and red tape over the years

Yeah, I don't remember any celebrating. Little relief maybe, followed by sadness when the next few "Tuesdays" hit and nothing changed.

@av Sure, not "all," since I guess now we're being super technical. But I now for a fact that the general sense amongst employees on the line from various LOBs viewed it in a celebratory manner.

WF is like an ex-con just released from prison with no new job skills and meanwhile all the ex-con’s peers have advanced themselves.

WF has nothing special going for it, the brand is trashed and the c-suite has created a toxic culture that is feeding on itself.

Humpty Dumpty had better prospects.

The only people bragging were maybe 4-5 people in the C Suite. So, you can't really say all employees

The transformation of Wells Fargo means crooks to dishonest...no one should want to do business with them. Any advisor who moves their book to the firm is an id--t with poor judgment.

@a5 - I was let go in late June, the cap did nothing but boost the C Suite's pay.

Hilarious things happening at Wells Fargo:

"Oh, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with a life-changing $2,000...spread over 4 years...in stock." 🙄

Meanwhile, at OpenAI:

"Here’s a generous bonus of $1.5 million per employee over 2 years...in cold, hard cash." 💰

No rush on becoming a millionaire, right? 😅💸

And it gets even better at Wells:

The “location strategy” drama
JPM poaching your seat
Mid-year manager drama
And the real question: Are you ever willing to leave Wells Fargo? 🤔

@a6 Obviously confused and has reading comprehension issues. I never said I was celebrating anything. It's just amusing. Yes, the general sentiment amongst WF employees was celebratory. What reckoning did I indicate that I thought would happen? Nothing. Again, speaking of consuming paint chips, clearly you have reading comprehension problems. As I did mention however, and as we see based on @a6 response, the cult of WF is very real. Please, for own good, back away from the kool-aid.

I find it hilarious that @op is celebrating something that didn't happen. No one celebrated anything except the orgs marketing dept and C suite. Even more hilarious is that @op thinks that a grand total of 2 months post-asset cap lift some sort of great reckoning would have happened completely shifting the companies operations.

Your OP is prime example of why not to let children lick windows or each paint chips.

@OP This is nothing to be bragging about, as hundreds of WF employees are being laid off every Tuesday, due to the asset cap being lifted.

It would be hilarious if something else happens, preferably something to do with India, and a new asset cap gets placed.
