Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Checkpoint no longer measures ‘responsibility to others’ and ‘innovation’.

Just learned from my manager that I will only be scored on skills and business values. IBM no longer considers ‘innovation’ or ‘responsibility to others’ important for our values.

Sounds about right.

@fps+1k2AaMMP we've gone (at least in Systems) back in time all the way to "stacked rankings." It's simpler now.... just name your lowest 10% and we'll get back to you.

Checkpoint only matters when they want to fire you. And then it matters even less. Same with anything HR related at IBM

Kinda makes sense... There is NO innovation at IBM... and responsibility to others is just a joke. The only thing that should count is business results.

They do when they are laying the groundwork to justify a PIP.

I dont think anyone in management actually reads/takes the checkpoint assessments seriously

When your manager doesn’t have technical skills, they tend to focus on things like checkpoints, your learning, badges.

I still cannot believe so many of you still use checkpoint.
Have you gone back in time?

Is anyone else being reviewed differently this year?
