Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Manon Brouillette GONE!

Hans fired Tami and now Manon. While I applaud both moves, it is just a sign of his failure and inability to lead. When the numbers continue to stagnate into 2023, Hans will also be gone. Unfortunately he will drag many of us down with him in the 1st quarter RIF.

Who is next ? Sampath, Aparna, Kyle, Rima. Good gracious, there are so many fake leaders that one can have a field day to clean up the low hanging fruit of these incompetents.

All of the direct-reports to Manon should quit before they get fired!

T-Mobile Consumer Group spanking Verizon Consumer Group. I use to work at T-Mobile and now work for a Verizon dealer. T-Mobile John Frier much better!

I actually can’t think of a time where I heard her speak on more than one occasion. She always felt like she wa living on borrowed time. Now, Hans taking over is… not what I expected. Sounds like he does not have a lot of trust in the leadership stack of VCG to deliver.

This is similar to the recent Walt Disney Company, type of leadership change, [not at the very very top] shock-awe, to regain focus, to counter-attack the competition, and reverse the drop in the share price.

The Walt Disney Company, corporate governance structure, maintains an Independent Chairman of the Board.

This swift of a move with no mention of where/what Manon would be doing, speaks of BOD pressures to do something now, or else....

I repeat myself but all the names hired to-date and now being released within the last 12+ months, under the current tenure of the great C-Suite leader, just dont have the experience for the within the continental USA, sea-to-shining-sea, to include the current man-in-charge.

I don't recall her doing anything of substance. Can anyone list her accomplishments? Maybe just one?

Didn't think so.

Hans will keep the downward spiral going.

They raised the economic surcharge again. I guess people figure they didn't lose a lot of customers last time so do it again.

Every dollar a month they lower the plans in 91 million dollars a month in lost revenue. Cutting the price by 5 dollars would lose us 5.5 billion dollars in revenue. They are stuck with the current prices. (Math is number of consumer lines times price cut per month times 12 months if you wanna play with the numbers yourself)

Less than a year on the job? Wow..what is going on? I know they like to call this a 'shakeup' but it feels like total chaos.

Hans had no choice. His job was to find qualified execs who can tackle areas that he cannot. One person cannot make all of the business decisions and grow the company on their own. That's why CEO's hire folks they think can. If results say otherwise, CEO's have to fire those responsible until the right person takes the reins. Now, if this keeps happening, then the BOD will eventually let him go.

The d-mb $hit who started the whole 'no individual commission in retail' should be fired. That has a lot to do with our poor numbers.

The pivot to more value plays was good, but too late. VZ needed to come off of their arrogant a$$ and drop the freaking price to reflect the state of the network. Stock price is about the net adds, stupid! TMO figured that out ten years ago (and AT&T more recently). Whichever executives were a part of that miss should be shown the door. Strategy GO for example, probably Finance VP as well.

#DonewithHans should be the new VZ hashtag! Manon left at the height of the consumer retail period. This does not look good for 4Q results.
