Why does it seem that Treasury Services in Pittsburgh are flying by the seat of their pants everyday?
They seem to lack leadership, expectation, and value.

Well BNY acquired Pittsburgh’s high quality Treasury products and dragged Mellon Bank to the Stone Age.
Cash Register Plus, BMW, what hilarious junk.
It's got nothing to do with Pittsburgh, this whole company is flying by the seat of their pants. If you think otherwise you're lying to yourself. No real leadership and no direction other than the stupid "Own it" B S.
Look at the COO. He’s accomplished nothing in the time he’s been here. His playbook is all about offshoring because he lacks vision and talent.
Pittsburgh has no leadership and the vibes are very bad at the moment, easy answer. Same goes for nyc... london...pune...lake mary.... face reality folks
@OP they lack common sense and the ability to do their job like most other teams in PA. Sorry not sorry
It's not only Pittsburgh...
this company has devolved into cr--s in a bucket, the work output is of according quality. it is only going to get worse so get used to it.
Because you are expected to service clients on products and services when there's no training, steps documents or anything that tells you anything about that service. You're supposed to automatically understand it out of nowhere, even when Product doesn't understand it and can't answer your questions, and ops is too busy yelling at you because all they can do is work from forms that are supposed to be perfect so they dont have to think. They'll shove ridiculous training classes down your throat that have nothing to do with your job but cannot put anything together that relates to your job. That's why.
If you listen with trained ear, you don’t hear the top of the house calling Pittsburgh a growth center. Oh they will call it important or vital, but that’s all. And it is because RV wants Pittsburgh off BNY’s strategy. As the Mellon name, Mellon headquarters and Mellon work ethic have disappeared, so will the people. And legacy BNY is disappearing too. What is replacing them is ugly and un-American.
You are basically describing every department in Pittsburgh.
