Remote Exception

Is it possible to prevent getting a remote exception or can a manager put you in for one without your consent?

If office uses only 10% space available ,it’s better to shut it down annd reduce property expenses and make everybody remote!!!

@a3 at least 40% of the people working at the company are hoping they get laid off to get the severance - morale is lower than a private in the Russian Army.

Severance packages are one of the competitive benefits offered by a company. There is nothing wrong with wanting the benefit you put an entire career into earning, so stop acting like a baby.

You can be made remote without asking if your building or city is being exited and they move employees to remote until they are ready to lay everyone off.

@a3
Yes. I'm afraid of getting marked critical and not getting severance. Will I have a choice?

No idea, but are you saying you don't want an exception to work remote? Are you wanting to get laid off?
