@dh Looks like the fickle finger of the financial markets finally caught up to the longest running scam in telecom. From SD&P, to OF, to Yahoo & back to grind Consumer to a halt. This will be one of the best Harvard Business cases, ever!

Maybe all these companies like Verizon having all those govt contracts should be canceled if they outsource HCL India etc and be forced to bring back state side. 1000's of techs with data router group support were outsourced to HCL except for the Govt CKTs.

Kinda worried by the borderline racist comments but will say this - few years back it was noticed tech companies that all the high-ranking Indian people were Brahmin and those who were Dalits BACK IN INDIA were treated differently/not promoted. DONT BRING THAT CASTE SH--E HERE

All the band 5 and above over 50 should be given send off.

Band 6 here, we was told we was to hire from India only.

Just need to layoff band 6 and hire bunch of cheerleaders at very affordable price. Job is done by few while whole herd is watching and commenting on these boards.

Sammy short pants 'sponsored' many, many highly paid Indian peeps, who never delivered the goods. Just like with Sammy, they always had a good story followed by less than good numbers and backed up by lots of analysis paralysis.

Put Indian folks in control and they will focus on surrounding themselves with their own and creating jobs in India. They are looking after their own. Unfortunately the great Orange one talks a good talk, but when the chips are down much of it is bluster and to catch the latest headline.

Make the H1B visa costs that companies pay for scalable based on revenue - more you make, more it will cost to bring in H1B's....

Additionally, apply a special scalable economic commerce tax on each employee located in another country.

Basically, upcharge American companies for intentionally moving jobs overseas.

Trump should sign Executive order and fine these so called Companies an outsourcing jobs overseas.

More likely trump saw the writing on the wall. Tech jobs will be taken over by AI. Trump knows all his rich buddies that got all the tax dollars from us workers, will soon be using AI, not American workers. Trump used this as an attempt to look like he was helping the blue collar guy. Another con job.

His message was blunt, “End corporate outsourcing” and “bring jobs back from India and China.”

VGS is a disgrace for what they have been doing. Their head of finance was thrilled to pressure teams to offshore jobs while collecting huge bonuses and profiting off despair. It’s a sick and demented legacy. Say what you will about Trump, but he’s a class above the soulless corporate finance crowd. He’s saving future opportunity for our youth from people in Verizon that gladly offshore the masses for their own greed.

It is about time! Verizon has been shafting its customers, shareholders, and employees for the past 10 years by replacing and eliminating US tech and finance workers with H1Bs and other outsourcing scams. Verizon is an American company, no matter how hard BlackRock tries to make it something else. Perhaps if they had more of an American leadership team they might even get more American business.
