Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Layoff at Vernova Digital team

As a former GE Digital employee, I still keep in touch with friends who remain there. Recently, several of them were let go—not for performance issues, but despite having exemplary work ethics, decades of service, and deep company knowledge. These are people who have been with GE long enough to see the company through major transitions, bringing stability and expertise that can’t be replaced overnight.

It’s hard not to notice that many of those affected are in the later stages of their careers, which makes their departures even more surprising—and raises questions about why such seasoned professionals, with proven track records, would be the ones to go.

I was let go after 24.7 years

Get ready for the stuff to roll down hill and the layoffs. All of these new employees will feel like the battery plant employees did. Some made it back during this gov hiring money scam.

No layoffs in Schenectady for at least 5-8 years. We keep getting more orders and work.
