Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Next Tuesday at the Barn?

Rumor (and its only a rumor) has it that there may be layoffs this coming Tuesday.

If so, who will it be? Which line of business will finally be set free? Or will it be a clean sweep of every soul?

" Spin the wheel, around it goes. Where it stops, nobody knows."

Any one know what would happen to those of us with a remote classification and working in non WF branch states? There are probably only small numbers of us in some of these mid west states. When will we hear our news? I’ve been sitting and waiting for what feels like a couple of years now. Are they working in an order thru the states?
Also, anyone know if they can ever change a persons remote classification to non remote and make them drive to a WFAdvisors site now, when they were told in the past that was not an option?

@by HR was in Oregon in May for the career workshops - she said displacement will occur "In Q4" not before Q4 so Sept is out.

Site manager has planned breakfasts/lunches every Wed thru the end of Sept. They are spending the rest of the yearly food budget & have none scheduled after that. The last 2 weeks of Aug will be Olive Garden lunch, then Krispy Kreme for 2 weeks, then Pizza Schmizza for the last 2 weeks. I expect the layoffs will start 9/01 and be done by 9/30

Wells Fargo covered all remaining employees when they submitted the WARN notice in Dec 2024 (521 employees by the end of 4th qtr 2025) so they don't have to submit another one when the layoff notice is actually given

Well, 60 days of non working notice would get us to mid Oct, which is Q4. So...

God speed employees of The Barn. Keep an eye on the prize. Get that severance.

The plan was aug and sept. Well this is the chance for aug. I agree with the other poster. They believe they have low performers other than themselves. Hate the idea of this person making decisions impacting my life in the short-term, but long-term life’s ills will catch up with them. They forget!! Nice try hero.

We did hear the rumor this last week, but not sure since the warn act says displacement Q4, so not there yet. Everyone is waiting while they fatten us up with the food events on the way out the door.

Back office and non customer facing are first. Such tasks are easy to transfer to our folks overseas. Customer facing has more borrowed time till AI takes over like your local McD hamburgler restaurant with few headcounts with kiosks

@a1 external consultants got a big hit recently. However, it seems to be a bit of playing around calling it “reduction and hire back different skillset” to me it is utter bull. Leaders and managers just find a good excuse to trim the heard and hire back more of their fav’s and homeboys
