Lowell was to Verizon what Biden was to America. Neither were good.

@ex This is truly scary! Successful CEOs in telecom have been engineers, financial sharpies, and leaders who can achieve a goal. Sampath is a consultant who is the guy that you pay to borrow your watch to tell you what time it is. He can be quite entertaining and has the ego of a leader but lacks the chops and ability.
One could effectively argue that the reason that neither the stock nor the company goes anywhere but in a discordant circle is Sampath.
Lowell was awful but lord help us once sampath is handed the keys
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the laugh! He was responsible for several terrible business decisions and was also a real monster towards the craft.
Entrepreneurs are visionary
CEOs are professional managers hired to maintain that vision.
maybe some PE firm will take over. then you can really buckle your seat belt.
'Hrm, I haven't seen a visionary CEO at Verizon. Maybe it is time to consider it?'
Cheer up. If things tank enough, the same thing can happen like the 'government' is doing with Intel, then everything will be better than before!!

Lowell was only interested in the paycheck and the perks (free BMW?) and of course the exclusive golf club membership. I remember him constantly telling us to find "a higher gear"! But at least, you didn't feel like he was completely sabotaging the organization like the current group in the c-suite.
remember AOL / Yahoo
remember G90
Is the Vision OP wants to have ?
He was a fool he created the sinking ship we are currently on
Lowell McAdam was luck he was the last man on the bench. That little spinless troll came from a company called Airtouch Communications. It was a tiny company that Bell Atlantic had a partnership and noncompete agreement with. That non compete would have knocked out all of GTE's cash cow markets when the Verizon deal closed, so Bell Atlantic had to buy out Airtouch to prevent that!
Leave it to the Euro's to jam you up, as Vodafone beat out Bell Atlantic for buying Airtouch Communications. So the only way for the Verizon merger to close was to do a Wireless deal with Vodafone and keep that id--t McAdam getting moldy on a shelf until there was no one left to run the company.
Sc--w Lowell. Bring back Denny
That angry little troll caused a lot of damage. Why would you want him back?
A rudderless ship in stormy waters. Lowell, please come back and save us.
