There are layoffs, but they know how to cover them. See my post.
This is all very interesting and I have nothing to add to it except I do want to say that my ex-manager, the one who RAed me and said that one of her managers didn't think it was useful for me to be working on patents, even though my ex-manager is the one who assigned me to work on all those stupid fu--ing patents, well... my ex-manager, she's a cu-t.
Let's recap...
Big corporations go to great lengths to 'hide' layoffs. For example, do things that would not require to announce the layoffs in accordance with the Warn Act (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) and they make sure the groups they let go are not in a single location and over 50, or they push people out via 'performance' reviews and pressure, marketing (they message layoffs not as a failure but, AI or other 'positive' reasons), etc.
They time the layoffs according to sales cycles, earnings, etc. For example, they know they cannot handle a bad earnings report + layoffs, so they wait until the earnings call is over an rhen decide when to time the layoffs.
What else have you seen?
Probably because nobody cares about IBM any more.
Because there are no large layoffs happening right now and they have other much more important things to write about?
What an oddly written and formatted web site.
Anyway, what the heck is "The Register MS".
I know what the "The Register" is, but what is "The Register MS".
And I don't understand why he's harping on that fellow having so many articles on THENEXTPLATFORM. His LinkedIn in says he is a 'co editor'.
Now whether these people are shills for some company, well that is true for anyone in journalism. You never really know.
Seems like a bogus URL.... Care to share the main insights?
