Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Maybe it's too late now

Many good employees left, and I lost great colleagues who went to companies where they would be paid more.
Perhaps EM wouldn't have lost them if they got a decent raise in time. Why does this company almost always react late?

Get used to it. That is normal.

I left because of the huge push to reduce HC10 headcount and the target that has always been on EMIT’s back.

My departure had nothing to do with insufficient salary or lack of raises - and everything to do with insufficient management and lack of transparency.

I’d still be there if their idea of “active caring” meant more than narking at people that drove above 20 mph on the perimeter road or didn’t hold the handrail.

So ridiculous where management’s efforts and energies were placed. Continually put focus / stewardship on low value things, you begin to lose high value people.
