Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

I am finally adequately compensated, but...

What worries me is whether, after the salary increase that finally adequately compensated my efforts and work, the managers will raise the bar of expectations. It wouldn't surprise me at all if after the raise I get even more work and start to feel underpaid again. What do you think?

Just enjoy it, at least for a second before you let the pessimism kick in again.

Don't have a false sense of security my friend. I ranked well and got promoted in July 2020 only to then get laid off in Dec 2020. Do what you feel is right for you as the company won't, unless you are DW ofcourse.

I can only dream of 15% at my elevated age 😁

Too little, too late. I had already started my job search and the 15% raise will not slow down me looking. I hope to be out of here soon.
