Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Up to speed today

Hans seemed to talk in circles and not say anything tangible. It’s going to be great, it’s going to be great is all I heard which really means a wing and a prayer. But he’s the one making 20 mil a year and flying around on private jets.

We must maximize on shareholder value by sending calendar invites for bluejeans meetings to see who can sound the most strategic and use the best corporate lingo! Got it!? Or do we need to take anything back!?

Thx

Do yourself a favor and use your 12 noon timeslot to eat your lunch. T-Mo and AT&T are eating ours every day. But seriously, that UTS was a total waste of time, complete nonsensical drivel! Is that supposed to inspire & motivate to finish strong? Even Matt Ellis made sure he finished his Finance webcast yesterday before noon, in anticipation of Hans' Up to Speed. What a load of old nothing! As usual

He should have addressed the firing of Maron and taking on Consumer personally. He didn't have to say fired either...we all know how it went down.

Hans is an expert in word salad. Hans is doing to Verizon exactly what he did to Ericsson. He gets paid a ton of money. He flies around in a corporate jet. He does nothing but drive the company into the ground.

I feel bad for Hans he looked really lost trying to figure out what to say to stop something except he didn’t know what it was.

He didn’t even know how many days were left in the quarter.

Companies are using foreign leadership because the expectations are lower from the general public.

Satya Nadella, Pichai, Claure, Hans. It’s nothing but a tactic to appease shareholders who want someone to grill.

Then, a company can use a CEO with an accent to pretend there was a communication gap to buy time as the board scurries to make the next quarter.

With all the run-up to Up to Speed methought there was to be an official announcement of some kind or another. But alas twas just another waste of my time. Just like the last once of these. Maybe they have nothing more to say.

The man is at the end of the rope. As usual his words are empty and fluffy, never a business astute remark or analysis. Same old car dealer salesmanship jargon. Cheer leading and superficial nonsense. It was mortifying to say the least. His days ate numbered, IMO ...
