Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Anyone Know Real Reason Chuck Won't Speak To Chambers?

Could it be due to Chuck's narcissistic traits including having a strong sense of self-importance, experiencing fantasies about fame or glory, exaggerating self abilities, craving admiration, exploiting others, and lacking empathy?

How do you know they do not communicate with each other?

Went to holiday party last night in Midwest with approx 100 Ex-Cisco folks and 100% agreed that CR is incapable of doing his job and cannot believe the board doesn't kick him out

Chambers has started a company that directly competes with Cisco.

At least Chamber's reduced his salary to one dollar per year to show some compassion even though he still had millions in stock

Never mind the extra day of forced vacation we all had to take to fund the bonus of tens of millions he failed to earn by massively missing his numbers. That’s how we knew we were “family!”

Chuck didn’t write the millions of bugs Cisco creates every year and he didn’t directly hire most of the people who think the purpose of a company in capitalism is to employ people for life. These mistakes were made by the rank and file and as a customer and investor I’d like to see far deeper and more methodical changes than any CEO of Cisco has entertained.

If you could see past the smile you perfectly described Chambers, the man who “will always have unrealistic expectations” and who “will get his regardless.” He must be up to 2000 first priorities by now, one per paid hour per year.

Besides, they both failed to move successfully into other markets and the both manage so poorly they required constant layoffs. Chuck at least figured out how to double charge for broken software so he’s clearly already ahead on his own.

There's probably a conflict of interest between the two having much communication, especially given Cisco's propensity to buy the start-ups of former employees.

I think it's mainly to create conversation on a board of moaning employees.

The sycophants feed into it. Imagine wanting a selfie with him, like he’s a celebrity or something.
