With all the recent salary adjustments, does this mean that Downstream employees will some day reach parity with Upstream employees.
It’s no secret that Upstream has been much better compensated that equivalent roles than other parts of the organization. The company used to hide this some through different means including bumping someone at CL class or 2 for the same job in Upstream.
OP point is that there is no more DS and US at least not at EMTEC. So will personnel within the same organization reach parity. Or will silos and division continue
I think the entire global market pays Upstream and Downstream differently.

You think a pump in Upstream is different than a pump or compressor in Downstream, or a model complexity in Upstream than a model complexity in Downstream to warrant a different pay?

Upstream is ridiculously paid more than Downstream at every level even though lot of the work is similar. Parity or atleast gap reduction is a fair ask.
