XOM runs a for-profit business. The employer-employee relationship is a business transaction. Employees provide needed skills and xom pays for those. If you want more “meaning” than that, maybe look into social work or a charity organization. Your choice.
Folks milking it until early retirement I fully support, those willing to ignore the past 3 years due to a 14% payrise now I think should think a bit wider and longer.
