Currently on maternity leave, I got an offer for a job that starts a month after my return date. What is the bank policy about leaving after maternity? Will I need to pay back any of the pay? I’ve worked for the bank for 6years.

Congratulations on the baby and good for you on finding another job. BAC would lay you off in a heartbeat with absolutely no notice if they thought it would add one more penny for stock buybacks.
To the person asking why a mom wouldn’t stay at home to take care of their baby.
It is because I probably make double what you make and will be getting a substantial raise when I take my next role.
Your time is accrued, so don’t assume you’ll get paid for time off (vacation days, etc) that you don’t earn for the year as a previous person suggested.
No you will not have to repay
@3mvf+1k5Y5act - probably b/c she hasn't had a raise in 6 years and the U.S. dollar is only worth 86 cents in 2022 vs. $1.00 in 2016 when she joined.
Not everyone can afford to have a parent at home anymore - THAT is what's sad!
How many times higher is BofA CEO, CFO, etc. salary than the median? Assume this person makes $100,000. BTM pockets 330x times that!! Does he really do 330x more work flying around in the corporate jet polluting the world and insisting that 200,000 employees commute to/from work each day as he spouts on about the environment?
Gimme a break.
Why aren’t you staying home to care for your baby?
Unbelievable. Sad world.
Why use Your vacation? You will be paid for it no matter what. Sick leave is a different story. Use as many sick days as possible before you leave
We had a colleague last spring who used her sick leave, illness and personal days for her ninth month of pregnancy to stay home, began her maternity leave the day the baby was born and never returned. She gave her notice two weeks before her maternity leave was used up. She never returned and didn't have to pay anything back.
No back pay
Congrats on the new baby and job too! I had the same thing happen during my maternity leave... I came back from maternity leave and worked about 2 weeks then gave them my notice. I didn't have to pay back anything. I had a small break between quitting and the new job starting and I recommend you do the same if possible! Sure money was tight but our babies are only this little once!
use all your sick and vacation and extend your leave. ask to be laid off if possible
