4 Day work week coming? (Probably not anytime soon at T)

Jensen Huang, the CEO of Nvidia, has stated that AI could probably bring 4 day work weeks. "We're at the beginning of the AI revolution... and the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence across industries could probably bring a transition to four-day work weeks."

This comes as the CEO of JP Morgan (Jamie Dimon), the CEO of Zoom (Eric Yuan), and Bill Gates said similar things.

JP Morgan CEO: "AI will lead to people working “3 and a half days a week"

Zoom CEO: “I feel like if A.I. can make all of our lives better, why do we need to work for five days a week? Every company will support three days, four days a week. I think this ultimately frees up everyone’s time.”

Bill Gates: "What will jobs be like? Should we just work like 2 or 3 days a week? If you zoom out, the purpose of life is not just to do jobs."

Just enough hours to not have to offer you insurance. The AI theory is just the scapegoat.

We’ve done it for years. An extra 50 days off of no commute expenses and less center overtime for two extra hours the other 4 days. This allows life outside this sinking titanic.
This works well but managers about the frontlines a reason to resist since it’s not the way our bell shaped heads are.

4 days work = 20% payroll discount for data overlordz

Ask the same thing 3 times, exactly the same way, and get 3 completely different answers. Yeah, no. Midwit execs are impressed by AI “potential” but outside of a few very specific lexicon uses, it’s just an expensive diversion/pastime for the easily-impressed who have little critical thinking skill. But they insist they can run their businesses with AI, H1B’s, outsourcing, and college kids. Good luck with that.

You’ll see a 6 day work week before you ever see 4 here.
