October Surprise

Rumblings of an announcement is expected to occur in the coming weeks. All customer support is headed over seas . SM & below will be impacted. Time for me to put out the resume out before the shtf. Several U.S buildings are slated to be closed within 2026 and head cuts will be announced for fiscal plan.

I’ve been to the local medieval faire and I’ve done just fine in that period.

@ae Ehhh. I'm here for a paycheck not for a lifetime. I'll work for them as long as they send me a check. Nobody owes anyone a lifetime job. Work for it, and plan to be fired tomorrow. Too many of you folks are weak. You definitely wouldn't make it in the 1600's, much less the 1800's. Quit worrying about anxiety, and start planning for it.

@3vw I caught the first "Separation notice" email in the window of my phone and that's all I saw and I about had a sh-t fit. I was thinking I was getting my walkin papers. I WAS optimistic about the move to FIS (could it get much worse?), but after hopping on their page on this same site it seems they are knee deep in the same cr-p with McKinsey as we are. Both companies probably did the McK thing on cahoots. Their page on this site is MUCH busier than this one. I'm not feeling nearly as good as I was when it was announced.

@OP I do ..and I feel it everyday ! The email from David Green telling that my role (at this stage) would be part of the transition but it’s not a formal confirmation whether it will move or not, is one example and probably just one word short of how it is going to worsen that anxious feeling in near future. And it says that this period of time can be unsettling ? I don’t understand how it cannot be anything else other than being an unsettling period of time. So what do we do? Wait for another email ? Guess this is the October surprise.

Does anyone else feel outright anxious to go to work? Not only the fear of being let go, but the increasingly toxic environments of everyone seemingly trying to one-up each other and teams placing blame on each other. Everyone is just out for themselves. Where is HR? Where is the culture building? Am I alone in feeling this way?

I was a part of this company, through acquisition years ago. After years of constant layoff rumors that always became realities to certain staff, it takes its toll mentally. Always on edge, waiting for your turn. Then I was leg go in one of their "massacres" a while back. Haven't looked back except to see if it's still occurring. Sad to see it is. The dream of working for a Fortune 500 is not what it seemed.

At this point of the Jeffersonville office isn't closed the leadership are bigger id--ts than I thought. You can hear pin drop in that multiple days of the week. They would wasting millions in upkeep and utilities to keep it open. Guess the "forever lease" dum--ss people keep talking about don't mean anything.

@bc I expect that it will include all support, boarding and installation teams. We had been asked to train others via shadowing over the past year. My boss had to train her replacement to get her severance.

Here is my question: Does anyone know if this affects the Product Boarding Team, or any related teams?

It’s getting hard to see the company’s goal, mission, and values beyond its interest in the bottom line.
