WFH provided you with a pretax bonus. WF is simply leveling the playing field. They pay for the lights on that is sort a given. Folks are used to the increase of 400 plus a month savings in gas more in parking and day care so other folks are doing it so they technically have a pay cut compared to the WFHomers or bust. Just protest get zero increase or bonus and be good with it. Can’t have it both ways and i am sure HR has done the calculations. Also WF wants to start setting some policy and have people adhere to it. Pretty obvious on this sight most people say i am not playing ball. Good luck in the job hunt. Grass is not always greener

The interesting thing pre-covid RTO was not a thing or voice. It doesn’t matter if Mgrs support it. It is te easiest metric to run based on badge swipes. Managers will be held accountable for not enforcing policy. Who knows if it will go through or not but i think they either get rid of the buildings or they are taking back control of the business. Those that threaten to quit i think they have factored it in. I they don’t force folks in the office and they have to keep the lights on yes they will basically reduce your pay because other folks are paying gas, time ect going into the office. Hate the post here but how is it fair for those that do indeed follow the rules.

Risk wants to drive attrition. There are too many risk people. The risk groups under NH are duplicative. The business groups have been staffing their own risk teams since GK left, and now those groups are dysfunctional.

So more attrition in US which they want and it will result in more hiring in India!

I do see lot more risk job posting in India than in the USA.

Exactly. I left that team and the bank a few months ago. It was a real toxic work environment. Hated coming to work every day.

Risk team is a rudderless , overstaffed, overpaid and perfunctory department here at WF.

Yea, this started occurring in actual businesses a month or two ago with statements about incentive comp for 2022 being impacted. At least you have full warning ahead of the year where you will have repercussions.

Also to the person saying it will make people leave, yes. That is what they want. Risk is bloated, overpaid, and top heavy. They aren’t allowed to displace risk, but they might not have to replace every single body that leaves of their own accord.

Go ahead and take my cr---y bonus. I still won't come in. Not worth the time, money, and safety issues.

It's incredible how much time, money, and effort this executive team is expending on something that has absolutely no bearing on performance, regulatory improvement, profits, or anything else of relevance. It is wildly unpopular and will drive attrition, but that's the only positive result (positive if you hate employees and want them to quit).

That town hall was a depressing disaster. At least DF showed some of his true colors.

Which managers in risk have chosen that approach? That is not the message being communicated in our group.

The attrition in risk is going to be massive next year if they enforce RTO. From last I heard attrition was so high in early 2022 due to the same reason.

The Bonus for a Lead in risk is $30k+ so it is significant.

Big whoop. This is Risk where you make 6 figures twittering you thumbs up your ar-e while you walk on your elbows. If they aren't threatening termination keep WFH. It's paid vacation for the most part.

Some folks will lose bonus this year already. 0 days in, 0%. 1 day in, up to 50%.

It sounds like Charlie's message though. DF might agree with it, but his he just backing Charlie? Which executives think the office is the best place ever, and which ones think it's ridiculous to have people come in when there is no business need to be there?

RTO can continue to gain no popularity in 2023 🥱

If your bonus equates to the amount of money (and time) you spend commuting, food, etc., people might as well continue WFH. Also that auditorium looked pretty sparse....

It has nothing to do with collaboration, but everything to do with thinning the herd and slashing bonuses. Always look to the $$$

This will include monitoring of where you log in from. So dropping in, scanning your badge and heading home won’t cut it.
