Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Survey for those who retired Nov 30

Just curious for those who retired November 30: (there were 1000, some read this site)

  1. Did mgt tell you they’d backfill you? If so we’re you asked to help transition to the replacement?
  1. How much notice prior to nov 30 did you give?
  1. Did they show any interest in archiving or keeping any of your experience/work?
  1. Did they recognize your service with a goodbye lunch or event?
  1. How many years did you have
  1. Did you have an exit interview?

Thanks for answering. Ford is a data and software company after all!

Actions speak louder than words. Ford does not give TWO CRAPS about you leaving, no matter how great you think you might have been!

Not surprised! I though since I was just an older guy without a pension and part of the August SIRP that it was just how they fired (laid off-ha!) people. Nice to hear they pretty much treat everybody the same…. Badly!
Enjoy your retirement and don’t look back!

The article was a joke. If you have not been following your retirement path from 25-30 yrs of service then you don’t deserve a pension. I watched mine like a hawk and played the game till I hit 30. Too much at stake to risk the payoff. I worked with a clown who didn’t do contributory or 401k match. Always living paycheck to paycheck. Some folks ya just can’t help.
