Never see a repairman in my area unless someone sc--ws up an installation on my street or a fiber cable gets damaged. Only once in the past 3 years have I had an actual problem at my residence is when a module in my interface went out after a bad lightening storm. Tech showed up and had it up and running within 30 minutes and that’s including replacement and coming inside to check and make sure there were no issues.

Very similar to that of the Maytag repairman, sit around and wait for a repair order to come in. Expect some days with no work whatsoever. Other days expect 1, maybe 2 repair orders.

Being a Clec is interesting. Hopefully we have learned some lessons from that disaster period. Read a post that was supposedly from a tech talking about how bad their provisioning systems are. If true, it’s going to be interesting when we bring in our marketing muscle and can’t hook up the customers we make sales to.

att only purchased the fiber to the home, and they are not mixing the workforce, if you read the article it states in the states lumen is in we are basically a clec.
name of new company is "fiber co".
caw is trying to keep lumens techs on payroll for that company.
so unless someone from lumen apply for a job posting in your area it would have to be through the national transfer site.

@a5 looks like someone is worried about losing their job or friendly competition from all the lumen techs getting hired in at $42.00/hr plus 5 weeks vacation and a 15000.00 bonus.
