why would you change CEO's just like that without giving wall street a heads up and of all months OCT.Which is notorious bad for stocks.Changing CEO's as a surprise tell investors that there is something wrong in this company.Glad i sold at 44...

This sums up Verizon’s ability to change. The Executives roll out employee surveys frequently…pay huge money to Gallup to administer. The Executives track one metric… how many completed the survey.
Zero follow up on employee’s comments, ratings…the Culture is stuck in buty head in sand and never challenge the obvious.
Typical Vz improvement model is cut heavy at 1/2 levels and Executives clap out on EBITA results ( which is actually inferior metric).

MMW - Dans job, after the announcement of worst qtr in VZ history, will work to position the company for a sale after the stock tanks. Elon will come in soon after Tmo sat contract ends. It will happen before the next election.
After being a long tine employee at Verizon the past two CEOs had dysfunctional direct reports. lowell had Directs attendvrwtreats to get along and the musical chairs by Hans and sudden departure of a very well liked HR SVP to Intel and how he ekiminated directs while never accepting responsibility for incredibly low stock person shows the character of a man.
True verizon has internal problems.lets see if this new CEO can clean things up,he is most likly a hatchet man put in place to cut employees and costs.
