I can’t wait to see the engine be productive and stop causing IT incidents with poor implementation of changes. Unfortunately they won’t learn change management from the Chevron leaders that are traveling to India for the dog and pony shows.
I don’t think it’s fair to blame layoffs on Chevron employees preferring hybrid. Employees were coming in ,as requested. Laying off people has to to with major changes in the business and culture. Moving positions to India has everything to do with economics. If the buildings are empty it’s because MW wants them empty as he wanted the layoffs and he wants the remaining people in US to leave. 2020 and 2025 were probably the last major EOI’s. The new plan is to make you want to quit (4 monitored days, benefits not as good and every remaining person doing 1.5-2 jobs to absorb the work not backfilled. Welcome to the new normal.
