Now that I am old I find it funny that the world revolves around people who make up work pretending to solve complex problems with even more complicated solutions. RTO is one of those. All I read is stuff about diversity, supporting our employees and listening to employees. So what is the solution- well, lots of executives talking about water coolers, free coffee, discounts on stuff we can buy and newsletters.
But the one thing they NEVER discuss is WFH, which would be a real solution that people actually want. Work life balance- WFH. Cut down on se-ual harassment- WFH. Support caregivers and working parents- WFH, increase productivity-WFH. Even diversity- hear me out. It’s been proven women and minorities take on the majority of elder and childcare. Add a couple hours to their day with with no commute- WFH.
So simple yet never the answer. Why?
