There is supposed to be a hiring freeze, but there are some departments who are able to hire. Which makes no sense. I’m not sure why there are layoffs and some departments. Get to hire others do not.
Any news on tomorrows layoffs
@e2
Your statement is false. I just got hired into a position in OI from OT.
There is a freeze but only in OT.
There is some hiring in patient advocate and other roles like claims. These people were reporting that they were sooo confused because they could not grasp the role or what the trainer was communicating.
If Optum wants to lay me off in 3 days, they can go right ahead. I’m purposely under training the new offshore hires, and the rest of my team doesn’t know how to do my work, either. lol
cant tell me there is a hiring freeze when there were 4700 people hired in the US just last week
Only exception is Grade 32+ and ESRO, which is hiring onshore.
Its 10/30.
Let's clarify here... There is a US hiring freeze... You will still see positions available for higher in the Philippines and India guaranteed dead stop. I play this out to our one VP and they had to acknowledge that yeah we did hire there when there was no hiring anywhere else. So yeah this is a US hiring freeze while they are willfully hiring offshore in droves backfilling any position of any higher position offshore for peanuts on the dollar.
Yes, there is a hiring freeze in place right now. This was brought up by my manager last week when the team asked if a position that was vacated would be replaced.
Departments are hiring? 0_0 News to me. We are sorely understaffed and management assures us we are not even with mandatory overtime. The only people come to help are internal teams. There appears to be an external hiring freeze.
