Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Americas Sales SLT = No Empathy

After a couple of days to reflect on that disastrous All Hands, it is clear that RB, EK, RR, and the rest of the SLT have no idea to run a global organization and they have no empathy.

RB can only read off a script and Thursday she was awful. Everyone knows why she got the role but is in over her head. She thinks she comes off as a great communicator but that is far from it. Her lack of empathy is clear and she does not care one iota about anyone but herself. Her numbers are way off and she knows it. By not having a clear plan, she has extended the dysfunction that she and the SLT are. They have caused more turmoil then before with this call. She does not know what she is doing.

EK is a complete joke. Everyone knows how disastrous the C2E and Agile TSA initiative was and it is still causing excellent SAs and TSAs to leave. He has caused more damage to the SA role than anyone. Why is he still in his role.

RR is only in her time due to her connection with RB. RR is irrelevant and does nothing.

Is this the best that the Americas has. Does anyone know if JS and Chuck attended this disastrous All Hands or has watched it. Will Chuck address this on the Check-in that is coming up that 12/12 was it and now we have this. Will Fran address the lack of empathy from RB, EK, RR and rest of that SLT.

Great question on the goal sheet conundrum. You let people go on 12/12 and they stop working on any deals that are remotely real because the gear likely will not ship in the next 6 months. Those deals and accounts will not get new coverage until mid February at best. The best date for sales to do a LR is the start of a new half (2/1 or 8/1)

Do you think someone brought up goal sheets during their planning discussion? Was the goal sheet conundrum addressed?

Cold. Lacked empathy. Nervous delivery of a written script. Last comment - The lack of diversity in the room. Unbelievable…

I am embarrassed to bring any clueless RM and above to a customer meeting, as it is a sure way to lose the sale to a competitor

No one in Sales Management knows how to sell and would be thrown out of any customer meeting
They are the leftovers that are lazy and just hide behind their screens at home and look at useless spreadsheets
All the great sales people and sales leaders left Cisco years ago and went to Google, Microsoft, Arista, AWS, etc

Go woke, get broke. The call went just as expected when you put check boxes in SVP roles and VP roles.

Someone needs to ask that on the Check-in on the 15th that America Sales says there are more layoffs and LR coming in the next several quarters. This is complete dysfunctional leadership at its worse. I have been here 20 years and in a Director role and all my reports and their reports are asking what is going on after this call. I am embarrassed as this is not the Cisco nor the leadership we should have.

This is happening in other groups as well. Our engineering leaders have been working on a "new" plan since August.

Didn't understand why they had that call unless it was to say that sales doesn't have a plan yet but they want everyone to know they are working on a plan. It was by all measures a really bad call. Now does anyone around them have the ba--s to tell them that.
