does anyone have the scoop on how CDF placements will impact individual contributors? assuming this won’t affect pay grade and IC’s will simply be categorized based on role and pay grade. seems to be more of a naming exercise.

It is mainly a naming exercise, putting experience and expectations into paper. The goal being to help people see what is required to move up. However,some individuals have moved up grades when being placed because it was discovered their experience and knowledge for in a higher box (though not common). No one should/has lost a grade that i know of. And no cuts are being made because of the exercise.
@st calling BS…we’re still hiring (refining) and stock price is doing OK. where r u getting this info? for refining?
@OP there will be cuts of ICs….likely in 10% range
